Some meals hit more than just your taste buds—they hit your memories.

I walked into Guerrilla Grill in Keene, NH for a quick lunch, but what I got was a fast trip back to the Carolinas. When I first heard that two brothers from South Carolina had started a barbecue joint in southern New Hampshire, I was instantly intrigued. I spent some time down South and learned quickly that BBQ is a way of life there. It was in the South Carolina that I fell in love with Carolina Gold Sauce—that sweet, tangy mustard-based flavor that somehow makes everything it touches even better.
The Story Behind the Guerrilla Grill
Guerrilla Grill started as a bold idea from two brothers who grew up in South Carolina and knew they had something special to share. Their journey brought them North, where they decided to bring Southern BBQ to New England—no shortcuts, no compromises. Their focus? Quality meat, slow-cooked flavor, and a menu that pays respect to their roots.
Their website says it best: “Real BBQ. No Apologies.” And that attitude shows up on every plate.
My First Bite: The Power Bowl
I went with the POWER BOWL with brisket—a layered bowl of greens, beans, slaw, and of course, a generous portion of smoked brisket, finished off with a Carolina Gold drizzle. I added a piece of cornbread on the side, because… how could I not?

When it came out, it looked like a work of art. But I didn’t let it stay that way for long.
Digging in, I was pumped to discover collard greens hidden under the brisket—a surprise that felt like a nod to the South. The brisket had that perfect smoke ring and a solid bark, giving you that balance of texture and deep smoke flavor. The Carolina Gold tied everything together like a ribbon around a gift.
As for the cornbread? It was super moist with golden crispy edges. Personally, I like mine a little firmer, but the flavor and texture were undeniably on point.

Why I’ll Be Back (Soon)
Guerrilla Grill’s menu is packed with reasons to return. Not only do they have killer barbecue, they’ve also got:
Smashburgers (yes, please),
Wraps and sando's,
Appetizers like wings (priced per wing, minimum four, with any sauce or dry rub),
Pork belly burnt ends, and
Carolina pork ribs available by the quarter rack.
It’s clear these guys aren’t just offering BBQ—they’re offering a whole experience. One that’s bold, flavorful, and rooted in tradition.
Final Thoughts
Guerrilla Grill is more than just a restaurant—it’s a piece of Carolina hospitality dropped into the heart of New Hampshire. Whether you’re a BBQ purist or just someone who loves food made with heart, this place deserves a visit.
I went in for a quick bite. I came out thinking about my next meal there.
